Is it true diabetic women get frequent yeast infections?

Postby Rita » Sun May 29, 2016 1:26 pm

I am not sure but I read on some of forums online about a person, who wrote "I'm diabetic, therefore I get frequent yeast infections". Is it because she is diabetic? If so why do diabetic women get frequent infections and what are the possible solutions to it?

Yes, it is true. Yeast, which is a fungus, likes to live in moist, warm, and dark locations. This makes the vagina a prime target. The fungus needs sugar to exist, so if a diabetic woman has a high elevated sugar level, this makes it the perfect place to exist.
