What are the reasons for painful & frequent urination in men?

Postby John » Sat May 28, 2016 11:21 am

As the question states, What are the reasons for frequent or painful urination along with burning sensation as it happens more frequently? Is it related to only diabetes or are there any particular reasons why it occurs in men and what sorts of precautionary measures or treatments available to control the pain and cure the problem?

Why painful or frequent urination?

Mature CO Couple CyclingUrination is the process of passing liquid waste from your body in the form of urine. For most people, the bladder holds urine until it really is not inconvenient for their sake to use the toilet. Urination is generally painless.

Most people urinate four to eight times a day depending on fluid consumption. Painful urination (also called dysuria) is more common in women than in men. In both women and men it results in pain, discomfort, burning or stinging. Pain may be felt at the area where urine leaves the body (urethra) or inside the body at the prostate (in men), bladder or behind the pubic bone at the lower part of the pelvis.

Frequent urination or painful urination can indicate another difficulty that is physical and should be evaluated by a doctor.

Reasons for regular urination

Sometimes painful urination and frequent urination go together. In women, painful urination is most commonly a symptom of an urinary tract infection (UTI). UTIs commonly contain an urgent have to urinate, uncomfortable, painful or burning perception when urinating, temperature, and an abdomen that is uncomfortable or painful.

A variety of other difficulties can cause frequent urination

Diabetes - Individuals who detect they are urinating frequently, or an amount that is unusually large, should find a physician. These symptoms can indicate that someone has type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Increased urination is the way the body eliminates unused glucose (sugar).

Diuretic medications - These discharge excessive fluid from the body.

Interstitial cystitis - This condition in which the walls of the bladder become inflamed can include an urgent should urinate and pain, frequent urination in the bladder.

Overactive bladder (OAB) syndrome - Involuntary contractions of the bladder in OAB create unexpected, uncontrollable urges to urinate. OAB frequently makes folks need to use the bathroom and might cause leaking or urinary incontinence. Up to one-third of men and 40 percent of girls experience OAB.

Prostate problems - Men who experience an enlarged prostate, also referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), may have increased urinary frequency. As it enlarges, the prostate presses on the urethra, which irritate the bladder and can obstruct urine flow, causing it to contract more often. These contractions feel like a must urinate.

Stroke or other neurological diseases. After other nerve damage or a stroke, many people need to urinate more frequently. Other bladder function problems can be also caused by neurological problems.

Frequent urination is the situation where a person feels the need to urinate more frequently than usual. This can occur due to several reasons, some of which were serious. For example, frequent urination may occur due to consumption of fluids, especially containing caffeine or alcohol. If frequent urination is accompanied by persistent pain, they can be a symptom of some diseases. These include diabetes, urinary tract infection, hypertrophy of the prostate and side effects of certain drugs, such as diuretics.
Should be consulted the doctor if you develop the following symptoms:
• Brown or dark urine;
• Difficulty in passing urine;
• The loss of voluntary control of the bladder.

Pain or burning during urination and frequent urination can be caused by the same medical condition. However, it's helpful to focus on one symptom or the other.
