The dangers of "sugar belly"

Calories obtained from fructose (found in sugary beverages such as soda, energy and sports drinks, coffee drinks, and processed foods like doughnuts, muffins, cereal, candy and granola bars) are more likely to add weight around your abdomen. Cutting back on sugary foods can mean a slimmer waistline as well as a lower risk of diabetes.

I think most people that know that they have diabetes are not eating these types of food. In general, I don't think anybody should be eating a lot of those types of food. Eating healthy and exercising regularly will help you whether you have diabetes or not.

Found this on the LF board and I think its something worth sharing. Its kindof a funny read, but I think its not merely applicable to the American people but on the rest of the people of the western world as well.
