There are millions of people getting affected with diabetes every year around the world. In simple terms without much of technical & medical terms, can some one explain how does diabetes work and how to identify the disease in a person?

Type one which is not as common, affects the immune system. It attacks its own insulin producing cells, which brings your insulin in your body almost down to zero. Type two is when the cells in your body no longer react to insulin like they should be doing. If a person starts developing symptoms, then they should see a doctor to see if they have it.
