Are the tests compulsory for a family with strong diabetes background?

Postby Larsen » Wed Jun 01, 2016 5:35 am

What are the risk factors for a person whose family has a long history of diabetic patients? Should it be necessary for the family members to go and check for diabetes tests? If so is it necessary for all ages or the tests conducted only for certain aged people? How are the chances of next generations gets affected if the family roots are connected with diabetes?

There are two major forms of diabetes: Type I diabetes, the child's normal weight is not hereditary and type II diabetes obese adult. Predisposition to Type II diabetes is inherited and associated with other risk factors (obesity, sedentary lifestyles, eating habits vicious), yes diabetes in families.
If you have family blood relatives (parents, siblings) with diabetes, you'd better do your annual glucose challenge test. It is a test that detects the absolute initial stage diabetes when blood sugar does not rise again, but only lowers glucose tolerance. From now you can very well control regime.
