Can Cinnamon Be Used To Treat Type 2 Diabetes?

Postby Walter » Mon May 30, 2016 4:21 pm

As per some of the studies published in the diabetes journals, cinnamon could be effective in controlling blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetic patients! Is it applicable to all the type 2 diabetics or are there any special conditions to meet the criteria?

The consumption of cinnamon acts favorably on blood sugar on an empty stomach and cholesterol levels in diabetic patients. In the case of type 2 diabetes, this benefit was imposed but patients needs to take some supplements. It is premature to recommend cinnamon for clinical use because the optimal dose, duration of treatment and patients are ill-defined profile.
