You really don't need to jump around to get a good workout in. I found a video that has some great chair exercises for people with type two that will lower blood sugar, burn fat, and build upper body and core muscles. It's about thirty minutes of chair based strength and resistance training.
I found this to be a really exciting video to watch. I wasn't expecting much from chair exercises, but it is certainly a good workout. Plus, it is low impact for people that are looking for something like that.
